On arrival we were given a very friendly and warm welcome and were shown to our pitch which was the usual CC&C hard standing on loose stones and whilst ours was perfectly level I did note that the site was on a gentle slope and so some other pitches were not quite as level but not too bad. The facilities were very clean and well maintained and the site has a children’s playground, dog walk and a well stocked small shop with all the essentials like milk, sugar, ice cream. The mobile signal is very good with 3g/4g across all the networks, no surprise as there is a cell tower right next to the site, and the WiFi has plenty of access points so gives 100% coverage. Speed at the time of testing was 0.78Mbps down and 0.14Mbps up which is not very fast and you will be better off with your mobile connection for anything more than a bit of surfing and emails.
Its a typical theme park with rides to suit all ages and abilities and with the added benefit of a small zoo. In comparison to Chesington its seems quite a bit smaller. Despite it being at the beginning of the school summer holidays, a saturday and a very hot one at that, it was not particularly busy and waiting times for even the big rides were less than 30 minutes so my son Jacob got to ride on everything he wanted. Food was not terribly expensive and 2 good meals with drinks were less than £14.
